The Opportunity:

Are you looking to transform the way a user interacts with modeling and simulations? As a User Experience (UX) strategist, you put yourself in the user’s place to understand the best ways they can engage with the system. We’re looking for someone creative like you to develop the ultimate user experience. 

In this role, you’ll guide UX designers and product managers to understand your clients’ vision and their users’ needs. As the leader of an Agile team, you’ll act as a storyteller, translating research into actionable user insights. You’ll oversee the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including leading projects, as tasked, in human and computer interaction design. Youll assist in identifying, understanding, and documenting relevant data integration, analysis, and visualization requirements of our customers. Youll develop and discuss “mock-ups” of proposed solutions and user workflows and interfaces. Youll support the gathering user test data and feedback. Your extensive experience with user research, information architecture, rapid prototyping, interface design, usability testing, and product implementation and development will help you advocate for the prioritizations of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements while keeping the end-user at the center of your work.

You Have: 

• 11+ years of experience with creating user-centered design solutions across multiple platforms to solve complex problems

• 11+ years of experience with the digital creative process, including soliciting business requirements, conducting user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, and interface design, and front-end development

• Experience in collaborating with a cross-functional Agile development team and communicating design concepts to ensure the end result of an intuitive user experience

• Experience with building and maintaining client relationships in a team-based government or professional environment

• Experience with establishing and managing branding, style guides, and design systems

• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with Jira and Confluence planning and coordination tools

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Master’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field

• UX or UI Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
