<h2><strong>About the Role</strong></h2> <p>Abnormal AI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. This role will be a key contributor to the month-end close, financial reporting and operational accounting processes, while driving improvements to efficiency and scalability across the accounting function.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical knowledge, analytical thinking and a proactive approach to solving problems. This person thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, takes ownership and is eager to build processes that support a world-class Finance organization.</p> <h2><strong>Role and Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Own key areas of the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis</li> <li>Ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with U.S. GAAP</li> <li>Participate in the global consolidation process, ensuring accurate aggregation of financial data from international subsidiaries</li> <li>Prepare and review supporting schedules for internal and external financial reporting</li> <li>Assist with the preparation and filing of various local and regulatory filings</li> <li>Partner with FP&amp;A and key business partners to explain results and provide meaningful commentary on financial fluctuations</li> <li>Support the development of scalable processes and accounting documentation</li> <li>Support SOX readiness and internal control documentation</li> <li>Prepare audit-ready workpapers and assist with external audit requests</li> <li>Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure alignment with accounting standards and best practices</li> <li>Identify and implement opportunities to improve the accuracy and timeliness of the financial close process</li> <li>Leverage systems and AI tools to automate and streamline accounting workflows, enhance data accuracy and reduce manual effort</li> <li>Perform various ad-hoc projects as needed</li> </ul> <h2>In this job, you will bring these skills:</h2> <ul> <li>4+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including experience in a public accounting firm or high-growth corporate environment. Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related fieldCPA or CPA candidacy strongly preferred</li> <li>Indepth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting principles</li> <li>Proven ability to analyze data, identify issues and drive solutions independently</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail, organization and time management </li> <li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working cross-functionally</li> <li>Ability to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, highly transactional and data-driven role</li> <li>Proficiency with NetSuite strongly preferred </li> <li>Experience incorporating AI tools into daily workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy and automation of accounting processes is highly valued</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>#LI-AW1</p><div><div><div><hr /> <p><br />At Abnormal AI, certain roles are eligible for a bonus, restricted stock units (RSUs), and benefits.
